Milan is one of Europe's most rewarding shopping cities precisely because it operates on three completely different price registers — and most visitors only see one. A typical budget for Milan shopping days runs €50–€120 depending on whether you stay in Quadrilatero della Moda or drift toward the outer ring markets. The best time to visit Milan for shopping is January (winter sales, saldi invernali) or July (summer sales, saldi estivi), when even the mid-range boutiques slash 30–70%.
Rinascente(同樣係Duomo站,步行2分鐘,地址:Piazza del Duomo, 20121)係米蘭版的日本伊勢丹,七層樓,食品超市喺地庫,美妝喺一樓,中高價時裝喺上層。
Corso Buenos Aires
Outlet
Milan is a city that runs entirely different on weekends — the outdoor markets pop up, locals stop rushing, and you can find genuinely good vintage pieces if you know where to look.
Mercato di Porta Romana(Metro M3 Porta Romana站,出口即到)係一個每週二、四、六早市,主要係食材、家品、平價時裝。
Isola
Milan is one of the few European cities where click-and-collect from Italian-only e-commerce sites genuinely saves 15–25% over buying in-store.
第一個陷阱:Duomo附近的紀念品店賣的「Made in Italy」磁石,翻面睇,有時係「Made in China」。

How much does shopping in Milan cost per day?
A typical Milan shopping day costs €50–€120 depending on your targets. Street market spending (food, small items) runs €20–30. Corso Buenos Aires mid-range fashion €40–80. If you're hitting designer stores in Quadrilatero della Moda, budget €300+ easily. Metro day pass is €7.60 (approx HKD 65). Lunch at a local osteria set menu is €12–15 (approx HKD 103–128).
Best time to visit Milan for shopping sales?
The best time to visit Milan for shopping is during the saldi (sales) periods: early January for winter sales and early July for summer sales. Discounts run 30–70% across most stores including mid-range chains on Corso Buenos Aires and some designer boutiques. Avoid Fashion Week periods (February and September) when hotels and restaurants are packed and some stores focus on wholesale rather than retail.
Is Serravalle Outlet worth visiting from Milan?
Serravalle Designer Outlet is worth the trip if you have a full day and specific brands in mind (Prada, Gucci, Burberry, Armani). Shuttle bus from Milano Centrale costs €15 each way (approx HKD 128), journey takes about 1.5 hours. Discounts are 30–50% off retail. Go Monday to Wednesday — weekends mean 40-minute queues for fitting rooms. If you only have 3–4 days in Milan, it's not worth half a day of transit time.
Can I shop online and collect in Milan as a tourist?
Yes. Yoox.com and Zalando.it both offer click-and-collect in Milan. Order before you fly, collect on arrival. Yoox has a Milan pickup office (Via Tazzoli 2c, by appointment, Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00). Zalando uses tabacchi shops across the city as pickup points. Savings are typically 10–25% versus in-store prices. Important: check the return policy before ordering — you cannot return items from Italy after you've flown home.
When is the Naviglio Grande antique market in Milan?
The Mercatone dell'Antiquariato sul Naviglio Grande runs on the last Sunday of every month, 8:30–18:00, rain or shine. Around 400 stalls line the Naviglio Grande canal. Take Metro M2 to Porta Genova station, then walk 8 minutes. It does not run in August (Ferragosto holiday period). Check the official Naviglio Grande website for exact monthly dates before you go.
Is Milan safe for solo female travellers?
Milan is generally safe for solo female travellers. The main areas covered in this article — Duomo, Corso Buenos Aires, Naviglio Grande, Brera, Isola — are all busy and well-lit during shopping hours. Standard precautions apply: watch your bag in crowded Metro carriages (especially M1 between Duomo and Cadorna) and at Naviglio market stalls. Avoid the area directly around Centrale station late at night. Daytime solo shopping across these neighbourhoods is completely comfortable.
