Bravel Smart collects only the minimum data required to provide its service. When you scan a product image, the image is processed by our AI service solely for product identification and is not stored on our servers. We do not collect personally identifiable information such as name, email, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data including page views, feature interactions, session duration, and device type. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
Usage data is used solely to improve the Bravel Smart experience — understanding which features are most useful, identifying bugs, and prioritising future development. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Shopping lists, language preferences, and recent searches are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser storage.
Bravel Smart integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
• Google Analytics 4 (usage analytics) • Anthropic Claude API (product identification via AI) • Rakuten Product API (price comparison data) • Google Maps / Places API (nearby store search) • Open Food Facts API (barcode product data)
We use minimal browser storage (localStorage, not third-party cookies) for language preferences and session state. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies for analytics purposes. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Bravel Smart is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
